The day that we visited Depot Bay we saw one of the fishermen filleting a salmon for those that he had taken on a charter. As he was cleaning the fish there was a harbor seal in the water below him making all kinds of noise and slapping himself with his flippers. When the fisherman had finished he gave us the fish carcass and let us feed it to the seal. The seal came right up to the dock and took the fish from our hands. The pictures to the right are of another harbor seal that watched us as we crabbed in Florence. When we were done crabbing we gave him our left over bait. |

We had a truly wonderful vacation and on the way home Garrett and Harrison were already talking about when we can come back to the Oregon Coast. |
