The Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes includes more than 72 miles of paved path through the historic Silver Valley, into the Chain Lake Region, along the shore of Lake Coeur d'Alene, through Heyburn State Park, and the Coeur d'Alene Indian Reservation.

The BBQ will take place at 2 pm on Saturday May 28th at the Chatcolet campground in Heyburn State Park
In addition to helping us celebrate mother's birthday, you can:

(I am told the ride between Chatcolet and Harrison is spectacular.) -
relax by the lake

sit by the campfire & make smores with the kids

enjoy a boat ride to Harrison or up the St Joe
Directions:
From Coeur d Alene, take Highway 95 south approximately 34 miles to the town of
Plummer, at the flashing yellow light, turn left (east) onto Highway 5. Travel approximately 6 miles. At this point you will come to a steep hill.
After a sharp turn at the bottom of the hill, take a left onto Chatcolet Road.
Go 2 miles. At the "Y" bear left and cross the cattle
guard. Go one tenth mile. Right on Chatcolet Upper Road. Go
three tenths of a mile. Left (following Chatcolet Upper Road) Go one
tenth mile - cabin is on the right. (see campground map above) If we are
not at the cabin we will be in the campground picnic shelter.
We have rented a
cabin at the Chatcolet campground in Heyburn State Park that is right on the
bike trail.
We
have the cabin on Saturday night and there
is room in the cabin for a couple of more people if you would like to spend
the night. If you do, just let Jack know. If you prefer
to camp, there are campsites available as well.
